Doctor's Query Management

A typical mid sized Pharmaceutical company contacts over 200,000 doctors on regular basis. It is very much important for companies to keep those doctors updated at the same time answer their queries i.e., regarding products, new drugs, etc., to the earliest.

Pharma Field Force contact doctors on daily basis for briefing them about their company’s products. During such detailing Doctors come up with various queries regarding various issues. Such queries are then forwarded to Head Office (HO) for their Product Managers or Research Managers to answer. Companies also subscribe to various medical journals for references and future viewing. One can imagine number of queries generated, so it is very important that a solution is required which can manage such large pool of queries at the same time manage such load of information for faster response to those queries.

Some of the key features of the solution are:

• Query Registration & Processing
  As soon as the query is received at HO, it has to be registered within the system. Priority can be set on each query. Queries can be classified under various topics. All the queries are registered against its respective Field Force. User at the HO can search within the database of journal and articles regarding the query. This finding/s (journal/article) can be sent as attachment to the query. Comprehensive search facility is available within the solution. If the user is able to find a suitable answer to the query he can forward it to its research department to answer which in turn can be stored within the system for future reference.
   

• Journal & Article Management
  User is able to upload various journal/article in different format to the system. User can also upload online link to various journals/articles. User can store Author’s name à Article header/Keywords à Name of the Journal à Year à Volume No. à Issue No. à Page nos., Link, etc. against each Journal/Article.
   

• Query wise Status & Letter Dispatch
  User can view status of the query i.e., whether it is a new query, pending for research department, etc. Once suitable answer is found for the query it can be dispatched from within the system in the form of letter directly addressing the doctor.
