As we know that all over the world tens of thousands of pints of blood are needed everyday to help people may be due to accidents or sugery or cancers or anemias or any other medical conditions. Donating blood can save many lives when the donated blood is separated into RBCs, WBCs, Platelets, Plasma and individually used as required. One donation can save 4 lives.
By organising this camp, Sarjen wanted to increase the awareness of the importance of blood donation.
Sarjen wanted to spread the message, "Consider who we will be helping?" The people who need blood come in all ages and from all ethnic and economic walks of life. They require transfusions to replace blood they have lost during surgery, because of accidents or internal bleeding, other medical conditions...
This was not only increasing the awareness but also involving people in some way or the other in their social responsibility and their vital role in the society.
Another step Sarjen took...
"Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies." - Mother Teresa
We, at Sarjen believe, "Small things make a BIG Difference..." In the same pursuit, We are proud to say, we are doing our bit, a small step towards goodness...
On 20th November, 2011 we donated to Mother Teresa Orphan Home, Nava Vadaj, Ahmedabad, which would be shared at Mother Teresa Dying Destitute, Ranip, Ahmedabad. The donation was an equal contribution from employees and employers at Sarjen.
A Helping Hand, A Soothing Touch, A Tender Expression...
